Assay principle: sandwich

Two monoclonal anti-CA50 antibodies are used for the sandwich. The first one is adsorbed onto the tube walls, while the second one is radiolabeled with iodine-125 and used as a tracer.

Assay procedure: 2h at RT / shaking + 2h at RT / shaking.

Features

Working range: 0.4 – 180 U/mL

Sample: serum or plasma – 50 µL

Analytical sensitivity: 0.4 U/mL

Normal values

Population male and female n = 147 healthy subjects, 90th percentile 19 U/mL, 95th percentile 25 U/mL
